Located just two blocks west off Highway 7, Sunset on the Shoals is a quiet resort that's perfect for outdoor enthusiasts looking to get away. We are a simple, no frills facility, but we take great pride in being personable with our guests. We have good access to Bull Shoals Lake, which has some of the smoothest, calmest waters in Arkansas, so you can play on the lake all day without worry. On the lake, you can boat, swim, fish, spear fish, sun tan and more. Or if you're looking to remain on land while staying in our cabins, you can go on a hike (30 to 45 minutes away), visit Branson, MO (1 hour away), or try any of the other attractions Diamond City area has to offer.
For food, we have various restaurants and grocery stores nearby — many of them are located in Harrison, AR. See our top picks for local restaurants here.
Come and enjoy the quiet, relaxing atmosphere at Sunset on the Shoals. We can't wait to see you!
At Sunset on the Shoals, you can choose from eight cozy cabins, seven of which have fully equipped kitchenettes. Each cabin has a different setup and design to meet different guest needs. Our cabins are great for group gatherings like family reunions, church activities, holiday celebrations and more.
Each cabin has it's own covered deck, with plenty of
tables,
chairs,
grills,
and, of course, incredible views of Bull Shoals Lake.
Some of the amenities our resort offers include:
a fire pit,
cowboy grill,
and an eighty-foot party deck overlooking the lake.
Of course, each cabin comes with its own amenities as well. To learn more about those, click on the button below.
Want to get up in the morning and not have to worry about finding a place to drop your boat? Then our private dock is for you. We have a shared, first-come-first-servedock available for use, where you can tie up your boat (we don't have slips) for the day after an exciting time on the lake.
There's also the Sugarloaf Harbor Marina nearby (0.7 miles) where you can launch and pick up your boat.
Some tips when using our dock:
The private dock at Sunset on the Shoals is for guest-use only.
There is a 75 to 100-yard walk to the dock from our cabins; we suggest closed-toe shoes and use of the rail when available as the walk is on a hill.
You may moor your boat during the day and overnight; we have additional parking for boats/trailers. Trailers must park in overflow parking; it's a 50 feet walk back to your cabin through our lit trail. We also have electrical cords to recharge batteries.
Swimming and fishing are also permitted, but we have NO LIFEGUARD, so use life jackets and supervision.
Because Bull Shoals Lake is a flood control lake, the water level may change without notice. We adjust our dock for that, but there may be debris. Click HERE for current water temperature and water level for Bull Shoals Lake.

We had a great Labor Day weekend and we highly reccomend Sunset On the Shoals. Each cabin has it's own covered deck with table and chairs and grill. There is a larger deck overlooking the lake which will seat larger groups. Cabins are well maintained and clean.

This trip was amazing. The owners made sure we were taken care of. We were here for the LBAA Classics, and can’t wait to come back! Very clean, the customer service is AMAZING, we feel like we have gained a new family! Absolutely beautiful views of the lake.

2020 Parking Enhancements
We wanted to make sure each of our guests had a place to park, so we made some parking enhancements in 2020. Not only does every room gets its own parking spot, but if you need more room to park, we have added a few extra spots on the perimeter of the main parking lot. We continue to have overflow parking for boats and trailers and just additional space south about 50 yards, but within a 50 ft. walk via our lit trail that you can use to get back to the cabins.
